Think that this brilliant hotel is beyond compare, enjoyed it. The staff are amicable, the property is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is incredible! The room is airy and there are lovely views. The exceptionally comfortable bed, best I've ever slept in. The location is unbeatable, 1 km from Gilfach Nature Reserve.

Nothing too much trouble, thank you for a perfect stay. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is accommodating. The venue is placed in a central position in a residential area.

If i could give bryn derwen 12 out of 10 i would! The king room was super comfy n clean, an the breakfast was the kinda stuff dreams are made of. Dick was a friendly host who really thought of all the little things to. The views from our room were just lovely too!

only thing was the location was a bit away from the main attractions, n it could be hard to find at first.

The kids loved seeing the red kites being fed and we enjoyed a lovely picnic. The spacious twin room was well-equipped and the breakfast was fantastic.

My kids wished there were more play facilities for them outdoors.

The King Room was spacious with a comfy bed and a lovely shower room. We had breakfast cooked to order, and it was one of the best we've had. Dick was helpful with recommendations for local eateries, and the location was perfect, just a short walk to the town.

Ideal for Couples Looking for a Nice Stay

We stayed one night in the King Room, and I can't emphasize enough how great the breakfast was, cooked fresh just for us, like a culinary masterpiece. The attention to detail from the hosts was beyond what you'd expect, everything felt perfectly tailored, even a small touch like chocolates in the room on arrival.

It wasn't inexpensive but definitely fair for what we got.

The breakfasts were freshly cooked to order and delicious. The location was perfect for exploring the Elan Valley. Our host was very helpful with local dining recommendations. I thoroughly enjoyed the views from my window 🏞️

A relaxing stay with mountain views

Waking up in the spacious Jacuzzi room with scenic mountain views was blissful. The owners, Liz and Dick, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The room lacked a dedicated space for muddy hiking gear, which would have been helpful after our outdoor adventures. But it didn't overshadow our great experience.

The king room had a comfy bed, walk-in shower, and fine views of the surrounding countryside. Fresh milk was provided in a thermos, and the bathroom stocked with quality toiletries. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, including a delicious full English. Felt relaxed with nice decor and accessible outdoor seating to appreciate the scenery.

The Jacuzzi Room offers a luxurious experience with a tub that provides a perfect way to wind down after a day of exploring. Fine views of the Welsh countryside add a nice touch.

Access to the hotel is a bit steep for those who are less agile, which could be a challenge for some. We booked with hopes of a serene garden view, but ended up looking at a side of a garden room instead-definitely a letdown. During breakfast, the timing could have been clearer since we were told it started later than mentioned, limiting our options to mainly cereals and juice when we expected a full spread.
